Tell us about your most erotic romantic fantasy. If you could have a 24-hour romantic fling with anyone you wanted, anywhere you wanted, where would you go, what would you do and with whom would you do it?
Mr. Lyons said I could have fun with this one so here goes... I’m kidnapped by the sexiest cowboy on a horse you ever saw and we go back in time to the 1800s. His name is Tell and he has this husky, smoky voice that makes me melt. Did I forget to mention that his last name is Sackett?
He’s got me tied up and naked (oh and my boobs are bigger). We’re next to a creek (his horse was thirsty) and I’m at the mercy of his pleasure (he’s got a lot of pleasure). I’m overwhelmed, flushed, moaning in ecstasy when his two brothers join us...Ty and Orrin.
Think Tom Selleck and Sam Elliott circa 1980.
Oh baby. I’ll leave the rest to your imaginations. As the sign over my bed states, “Forget the horse. Ride the cowboy!”

What are the biggest challenges
you face in having brownies declared an official food group?
Gratified am I to see that you are taking this lofty aspiration
seriously.
Challenges? Hmm…
●Hip Expansion (there’s something about post-college
desk-sitting that causes hips and thighs to expand
exponentially).
●Rising food costs and my penchant for buying organic
ingredients and happy eggs, whenever possible. (Happy eggs come
from free-range, I hope happy chickens.)
●Zits (it seems no matter how, ahem, mature I become, cocoa and
my face still don’t agree).
●The FDA is the biggest problem, though. Don’t get me started
about full-time politicians and bureaucrats that don’t recognize
the value of home-baked chocolatey goodness when it wafts under
their nose.
Fortunately, my perseverance continues and I have a number of
yummy recipes for brownies and other goodies [found right here]
on my website.

Where and when do you feel you
do your best work?
In the shower! As goofy as it sounds, I do some of my best
thinking while in the shower. I have water crayons and often
mark all sorts of dialogue and story thoughts on the walls of my
shower. I use various colors to distinguish between different
stories.
During the writing of Orchids &
Orgasms, Alyssa actually put me on a "shower moratorium" and
told me I couldn't bathe again until we sent the story in
because I kept coming up with thoughts on scenes that we'd
already finished.

What are some of your favorite
things to do?
I love to talk. Other things I would put at the top of my
favorites list include:
- snuggling with my cats
- snuggling with my husband
- driving, especially long, quiet stretches, or on new roads I
haven't traversed before
- eating chocolate
- baking things with chocolate
- licking the bowls of things baked with chocolate (yes, there
seems to be a pattern here)

What’s the most adventurous thing
you’ve ever done?
Gone hiking in Colorado
for two weeks when I was 14, crossing the Continental Divide and
climbing Mount Yale at over 14,000 feet. Repelling the first day
out (I still have scars on two of my fingers from scraping
against the rock) was an amazing experience. :-)

What is your favorite part of
being a writer? The least favorite?
Paws down (a little shape-shifting humor there...), my favorite
part of writing is when I have paper and pen in hand and the
story simply flows. I love writing longhand. I also enjoy
researching each character's name. Because many of the stories I
have written are historical, I've researched names during
specific time periods, attempting to stay as accurate to the
character's real lives as possible (plus, of course, inserting
lots of hot sex, whatever time frame they might be living in!).
My least favorite part of writing?
Has to be the utter dependence on computers. I'm not able to
spend much time sitting at my computer and it really makes it
hard for me to get everything swirling around in my head out,
but I've learned that as long as I am enjoying the process
of writing and what I produce is the best quality it can be,
that's more important than the amount of writing I do. I also
wish I could wave a magic wand and have all of my e-mails
appropriately answered at once! (Who doesn't? LOL.)

What do you enjoy reading?
Cereal boxes. Maps. Ingredient labels-No, wait. That one's a
necessity, not for fun. (But I was serious about the first two.)
For pure enjoyment, Sabrina Jeffries is my favorite author. I've
also loved the entire Potter series, but I don't know if you can
count listening to the unabridged performance on CD as "reading"
or not.
Now that I spend my time spinning
my own stories, I read about 5% of what I used to when it comes
to fiction, although I do have a number of metaphysical and
holistic healing books I study on a regular basis. One of my
favorites is Judy Hall's Crystal Bible. Another is
Rosemary Gladstar's Family Herbal.
