NEW CONTRACT - Happy, happy day! I'm ecstatic,
thrilled, over-the-moon, hyperventilatingly happy to announce
that the second of my Shapeshifting Regency Roaring Rogues has
been contracted for publication with Ellora's Cave. This means
that Deceived by Desire will soon be available at
a computer terminal near you. :-)

does this first story realize your vision for this series?
Not only does
Ensnared by Innocence
tell
the love story between Francine and Erasmus—and introduce Nash,
the hero’s brother—but writing it really helped solidify my
Regency voice and commitment to historical detail. Most
specifically, my love and use of Regencyesque words and
terminology, gleaned through scouring documents, letters and
early 19th century writings.
As one of my characters might say, Larissa Lyons makes a
point of sprinkling the common gamon and patter of the day
throughout her stories. Heroes become pitch-kettled the moment
they lay eyes on their heroines—strong-willed females that have
enough pluck to call their men a chuckle-headed lout (but only
if it’s warranted, mind you, and only when said men are too
obstinate to admit their hearts go pintledy-pantledy when their
lady loves are near).

 In other news, our
area was besieged with yet another wildfire—this one was
huge, burning tens of thousands of acres before it was brought
under control by the wonderful men and women working the wildland fire crews in the Southwest.
A hearty shout out of THANKS to anyone, past or present,
affiliated with firefighting and other rescue efforts. It's
amazing how you don't always appreciate the people who put their
lives on the line for others until they're right in front of
you, and it's your hide they're saving!

5 Blue Ribbons! This is a
must read. These ladies do a fantastic job with visualizations.
You sit comfortably in your favorite chair and watch Nate
take Lexi on a sensually erotic journey that she’s been missing.
Nate has a secret, one that he doesn’t share with Lexi. He
may love her but he has no intention of being underhanded and
nasty about the competition. That alone made this a very
believable and gem of a read. Enjoy.

Oh my goodness. Read Orchids and Orgasms. While it starts
out humorous, its raw intensity is electrifying and the
sexual chemistry between Lexi and Nate will burn itself into
your memory for a long time to come. Full of poignant
emotion and amazing love scenes, Orchids and Orgasms
has earned itself a very special place on my Keeper Shelf.

Who
correctly picked the winning card?
A number of
search-savvy individuals took the time to scope out the correct answer to
our recent Strip Poker contest. The assignment? To identify
