| I know this is always one area I like to visit on other author’s webpages – what are they working on right now? What can I look forward to? I want to know what their fingers are busily typing away on and what else might be percolating in their minds. So it’s time I shared too! | ||

09/03/2011 – Added book covers for Mistress series. At this very moment (July 23, 2011) I’m concentrating on a class to help improve my writing and storytelling. Why? Because I realized that a recently completed novel just didn’t have the punch and excited feel all the way through it needed to. For me, it’s hard to concentrate on the creative, organic process of writing fresh story content when I’ve engaged the left side of my brain into Analytical Mode to work with something already on the page. After a week or two of some mental debate (and dare I admit, anguish?) I’m relieved to report I’m excited about incorporating the ideas I’ve had to strengthen the characters and plot in this particular story, and I’m learning gobs with this self-paced class. So while it’s tough not to be concentrating on word count, I expect this time of study and reflection will ultimately benefit all my future writings. |

A quick side note – I tend not to release the official title of a story until its 100% complete; most of my stories I nickname with either the Hero’s name and/or a quick content reference. You’ll see all three naming conventions below. | ||

HOCKEY2 – A novel-length follow-up to the short erotica, My Two-Stud Stand. |

| BRYAN – This is a complete departure from anything I’ve ever written before, and this story is really close to my heart (though I’m not sure why exactly; maybe it’s because this is the most emotional and angsty book I’ve written). It takes place in the late 80s/very early 90s, and is about a young man who’s just lost his wife. Not only is he coming to terms with that, he’s dealing with his growing and unexpected attraction for another man. You can catch a glimpse of the inspiration behind the characters on this page. | ||

LADY IMPOSTER – yes, this one is actually titled! And it has a cover too.  The follow-up to Lady Scandal, Olivia’s story is started but not yet finished. It will be my next focus after whipping my current manuscript into sparkling shape. Oh, if you’d like to “meet” Nate, her strong and hunky hero, he’s right here. |

For 2012, I have a couple of broad-based goals: PHINEAS – For those of you who have read my Roaring Rogues (Regency lion shapeshifters) you’ll be happy to know I have never forgotten cousin Phineas. The bulk of his story is written, but I know I have a lot of work in store to get it up to what I consider publishable quality. That’s one of my big goals for next year. ISAIAH – The third story in the contemporary Western Bottoms Up series. Isaiah’s story is partially written and I’m looking forward to coming back to it. I wrote quite a bit in the fall of 2010 and then my body sort of did a falling apart. The joys of autoimmune disorders…you have to pace yourself even when the muse is riding high (something I failed to do). My wonderful cousin is currently typing my handwritten scenes and this is another story I hope to work on and complete next year. REGENCIES – of course, this being my first love, I have several other novella-length regencies in various stages of planning or completion, and I’ll share more about those when it’s time. |
